Mapping Workshops

These workshops take inspiration from the practice of mind map and encourages medium size groups to experience and share our perception of the neighbourhood in an alternative way. In a relaxed and well coming environment we will all together explore Woodhouse area and in particular which places have a meaning to us, what we like or dislike and what we’d love to change.

We will play games to warm up our explorative and creative minds. Then we will notice a variety of elements in the neighbourhood. This will lead us to describe a recurrent route, from your home to your local shop, for instance, which will involve you in something bigger than providing directions. You will take an active role in describing the surroundings, its space and forms, share a story of your daily life and finally draw a map of our neighbourhood mediating with your peers.

You will have the chance to talk about the past, present and future, all of them or none of them depending on your personal wish.

IN this workshop you will be invited to share your personal experiences, your creativity and your hopes.

It is one and half an hour of great interactive fun. Don’t lose to draw your own house on the map! come along!

Each workshop will adapt on the age of the participants.
